Fortinet Fortianalyzer 6.4 Practice Test 2026 – Comprehensive Exam Preparation

When you forget your FortiAnalyzer password, the most appropriate course of action is to perform a factory reset on the VM or appliance. This is necessary if you cannot access the system in any way due to the forgotten password. A factory reset will restore the device to its original settings, including the removal of all custom configurations and data, which allows you to regain access.

It's important to note that this action should be taken with caution, as all settings will be lost and the device will need to be reconfigured afterwards. This is a definitive approach when there is no alternative method to recover or reset the password through administrative support or alternative user accounts.

In contrast, requesting a password reset from support can be a valid option, but this could lead to delays and may involve a complex verification process. Other options like changing the password by logging in as a guest or reinstalling the software would not address the password issue directly or could complicate the situation. Thus, performing a factory reset is often seen as a direct way to regain control of the system when all other password recovery methods fail.
